Death Penalty?
What do you think about the death penalty? Should it be used?
I think we should go back to the Medieval punishments, hanging, draw and quartering, the rack, etc...
What do you think?

Yeah maybe it should be used on u? 
You can set a nice example by volunteering to be the first person hanged in the civilized world in the 21st snowury. Itīs nice to see ppl stand up for what they believe in

Well, but if this is your way of thinking - all criminals should be given the death penalty. After all, you don't care if they live or die in prison.

I didn't say that!
I said if they didn't commit crimes they wouldn't have to worry about getting the death penalty. But I do think the death penalty should be used more and quicker.
I know in the U.S. people on death row sit there for years and then they get lethal injection which takes about 2 seconds. And not only that but they sterilise the lethal injection neadal.

I agree with the idea that if a person is to get the death penalty, he should get it as soon as possible. I said that you support death penalty for all criminals, since you said:

I mean, if you don't care about the criminals at all, and agree to let some of them (those without families) starve to death, then you must be also for death penalty for all serious crimes (that give you more than say 10 years in jail)

yes but some criminals should be sent to rot and fed only a crust of bread and water a day. Just enough to stay alive.

NATIONAL EXECUTION DAY
FACT: Prisons are overcrowded.
FACT: People who deserve punishment are getting reduced or even non sentences for their crimes.
FACT: About 80% of crime is done by 20% of criminals.
FACT: Death Penalty is not a deterant to crime.
Do we have a solution?
YES!
Jan 1 2003 needs to be NATIONAL EXECUTION DAY. A day we set aside to execute everyone currently incarsarated in the USA.
This would free up much needed prison space, allowing programs of rehabilitation(fictional word) to florish, and also allowing the punishment of much deserved lesser criminals. A large segment of the habitual criminals will be delt with. And people will treat prison as a place to fear instead of a university of crime.
It's an idea who's time has come.

Am I the only one who thinks we need to bring back gladiator combat? Only in a more humiliating fashion. Make them wear tutus or something.

I like the Gladiator combat idea. I had been thinking about it and forgot to put it here. Thanks for bringing it up.
And I like the National Execution Day idea. I hadn't thought of it.
How about this:
We put the top criminals in a racketball court and have kerosene come out of the fire sprinklers and have some safe place to drop a match from. Someone like bin Laden or Saddam.
