The Saga Concluded - OOC

This thread is for the discussion, suggestions, and/or questions anyone may have about the thread. To start things off, I'll give a brief rundown on what I plan to do and why I made the thread in the first place.

In the first several chapters, I'll simply attempt to better frame the story by tying up any loose ends left off from the last thread by both catching up those who have not yet read the Saga series through flashbacks to the three threads in that series and by continuing to tell the story where those threads left off. The bleak condition of the world outlined in the prologue will be explained bit by bit (hopefully in a somewhat engaging manner ) and then the last chapters will detail how the world will turn out.

Hope you enjoy reading this as much as I will enjoy making it.

I'm posting this here to check with the people whose characters are included here, please post any additional information about your characters and correct any misinformation included (and to those I forgot, if any, please post them in here). Anything you guys want to be in this thread, please post here now.

I plan to start soon.

Note: Many of these are taken from Oldtimer's first post in "The Saga Reloaded".

Lith: The Keeper of Nature, a vampiric elf who is currently with the captain of the Moon Watch in a glade in the dwarven lands.

Morwen Auriel: druidic elf who serves as captain of the Moon Watch, she is with Lith, Thorhen, and Faerion.

Faerion and Thorhen: Members of the Moon Watch, in the Dwarven Lands with the Keeper.

SirDunco: the Champion of the now dead queen of the elves, who was duped by the Black Dragon into destroying the elves by starting an internicene war between the elvish sects. Currently in the Dwarven capital with his band of elven warriors.

CrookedTusk: Orcish tribal chieftan whose services have been temporarily rendered to the elves. Currently with Dunco.

Greenleaf: a wildelf who believes that Lith and SirDunco betrayed him to a witch who has left him with a magical Ruby Eye. Currently lurking in some unknown place.

Conn, Barbarian warlord and now king of some former humanland that were being overrun by the freeliches. In the barbarian lands.

WizardBoy, apprentice to the old man, once a powerful elementalist, with the magical shift he has gained much of the Natural Magic but is now trying to master Order to become an Enchanter lest the Druidic life calls him to the wood...

Jacen, new apprentice to Wizardboy who is on a quest for his sister's sake.

Luandrain: heir to the elvin throne, works for the ECF and has good friends Nunzio and Thorn onetime assassins and now captains in the ECF. On the elven throne.

Slaver and the Chairman: founders of the ECF, the economic power in the world. They control market places, black markets, caravans, thieve's guilds, and pirates throughout the land and all of the races. They seem nutral so no one directly challanges their economic stronghold, but some chaff under their velvet glove...

Isildur: Human ranger that has traveled to the dwarven lands to visit Maxell, a dwarven mentor.

RSF (name pending): Dark elf that was turned undead by an undead curse who is well versed in basic time magic, necromancy, illusionary magic, and curses.

Gorman: Dark elf assassin, attempted to assassinate Luandrian during a meeting between her and the Moon Watch, foiled by one of the Moon Watch, now vowing revenge. Motives for assassination unknown as of now.

Timothy Sparkledrop: Alias "Wicked Tim". An evil sprite that was exiled from his community due to his wicked fascination with death and destruction. Currently in the forest with Gorman. The two are allies, for now.

RSF was not undead by a curse. It was a disguise from an illusionary spell.

The mage's plan was to amass an army of undead from bodies of local towns and then siege the capital. But this would only be a diversion, for the subterfuge he would create around himself, he would then disguise himself as a moon elf and launch an assassination on the Royal Family.

Any more takers?

I'll repeat, if you are in any of the Saga threads and are either not included on the list above or want any info on your characters changed, added, or removed, then please post. If everything looks fine, post anyway to let me know all is well with you and your character. Any general ideas for the story are also welcome.

I'll begin the thread on October 19th, even if no one posts, but please do. Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Wicked Tim

Member of the Sprite race.
A rare being, a male sprite - and as such was treated like a prince and had his every whim indulged.
Unfortunately, some flaw in his character meant that this paradise was the perfect breeding ground for his psychotic and chaotic nature.

After being caught standing over the body of a dead sprite he had just strangled 'to see her face go that pretty blue colour' he was banished from Bellwing Island.

I didn't really get to do much with this character before the roleplay kinda died, but when writing about him you have to remember that Tim has the mentality of about 10yrs old in human terms.
Utterly unpredictable, but with a low cunning and a desire to see people in pain he will follow a stronger master...until he gets bored.

His flight and speed more than make up for his small physical strength, and his child-like appearance usually lull opponents into a sense of complacency and over-confidence...to their peril

Ok heres a recount

My name is Isildur. I am a human ranger who was born in a city but moved to the forest with my father when i was young. My mother died when i was born. When i was in my early teens my father was killed by an unknown assassin, who left behind a silver calling card. I had to fend for myself, until a dwavern friend of my fathers provided for me. His name is Maxell. Maxell used to be a warrior for the dwavern lord. He is retired now and lives alone in his small house within the city. He has been Isildurs closest friend since his father died. I own a smithy and rangers guild in a forest in the Human lands. Although its closed until i return from my trip to the dwavern lands.

I was heading toward the dwavern lands. The journey was tiresome so i decided to sleep. I was awoken by the sound of a stick cracking. When i looked up i was surrounded by a group of elves. Lith and his followers has there bows pointed at me, my sword was drawn but there was no point in resistance.

Isildur was going to ask for assistance, or protection you could say, for his trip. Maybe he could trade with the elves for a nice present for Maxell. When Isildur finally reached the Dwavern city he would greet Maxell and stay for a large birthday celebration. The next morning Maxells home would have been raided, and Maxell left dead on the floor. The same silver calling card left behind at his fathers death would also be there. Isildur would then go ona journey to seek revenge on the assasain or group of assasains who did this.

Great posts, guys...

RSF: You have let me know that the name you would like to remain on your character is Areseph, and it will be so. Also, anything to put down on the motive for your assassination attempt or shall I just make one up? (Btw, what is a Moon Elf? Do you mean the Moon Watch?)

Asmodean: Great post, very original character, too, in a disturbing sort of way. Any plans for what you would like Wicked Tim to generally do along his storyline, or do you not really have a preference? Do you intend to keep up alliances with our assassin friend Gorman or would you like to strike out on your own?

Gorman: Well of course you exist (), but you seemed to have missed the point of this thread--it will be a solo thread, seeing as how the roleplay kind of died. If you object to my assumption that it is dead, I'll either stop or continue on without your character, which of those it would be would I guess be up to you and the others. But if you are okay with it, then here's what I would like you to post regarding your character.

Where would you like this character's general storyline to go? Will you go out killing with Wicked Tim or take another solo stab at the queen? Stuff like that. Also, if I am missing any information on your character, please let me know so that I may add it.

Dragon_Slayer: Very informative, thank you. But I just need to know one thing: do you plan on allying with the elves or will you do something alone? With either choice, where would you like to go from here, in general?

To all: If you do not care whether or not you point your storyline in a certain direction before I begin, or if anything else is meant to be left open for me to decide, feel free not to post again before I start.

10 days left...

RE: Wicked Tim

I don't have any thoughts/plans for the character as the thread died after i made just 2 or 3 posts.

However I did have SOME kind of general ideas for him.
I don't think he would enjoy spending time with an assassin, it wouldn't be fun enough. He likes to kill for fun, not money.
He'd much rather be associated with a powerful mage or warlock.
His talents would then be used to terrorize the country side.

The  hypothetical situation:

*The villagers had been hearing for weeks now of the Warlock's terrifying new henchman. One Wicked Tim. In their heads they had visions of a horrible half-man half demon, or a mutant with 3 heads. The most awful things you could imagine, and they were living in fear.

Most of them had gathered in the common room when the tiny stanger entered...*

'Bartender, can I have a drink please?' asked Tim.
'Aren't you a little yung to be drinking son?' asked the barkeep, a round man with thick mustaches.
'Oh no sir. I'm 23 on my next name day'.
'Really?' asked the barkeep skeptically. 'You don't look it, or sound it..'

'Oops!' exclaimed Tim jovially sweeping off his cloak.
'Forgot I was wearing that. As you can see sir, I'm a sprite!!'

'Why so you are!' said the inkeep smiling. 'We don't see many of your kind around these parts at all. You folks are supposed to bring good luck. Here, have a drink on the house.
What's your name little fella?'

Tim took a long drink of his wine. 'Mmm, I can taste strawberries in it.
My name? My name is Timothy Sparkledrop, but you must never call me that. You can all call me Wicked Tim'.

For a space of three seconds you could have heard a pin drop, then the common room burst into laughter.

'Oh little fella', said the innkeeper dabbing at his eyes with a hanky. 'You shouldn't make jokes like that. Everyone knows Wicked Tim is a monstrous creature. Hehe. You folk sure know how to make a joke!'

Tim's face had begun to darken.
'I so am Wicked Tim!' he said hotly. 'I am!!'

But the villagers just laughed more.

'Why young sir', cried a fat old woman whose bosoms were heaving in laughter.
'You can't be Wicked Tim at all. Why I don't think you could harm a fly'.

Tim smiled a smile of deep satisfaction to himself and let out a long sigh.
When the laughter had finally calmed down he stood on a table and said 'Well I'm glad you all enjoyed my joke. Now I'm going to teach you one of my favorite games..........'

*When he left the village the flames were just reaching a fever pitch. The lovely screams were still ringing out like bells in the night.*

'That was fun Tim said to himself as he flitted through the night.
'I hope the next village likes games too....'

So as you see. Tim acts just like a chld in most cases, but has these small bursts of evil genius from time to time.
When writing his vocal interactions, I base them on the cutest child voice you can think of, and the Joker from Batman.

Hope this helped give you a better view of the character.
I look forward to reading about him.

I planed to leave the elves, visit Maxell and then return to my shop to continue life. Maxells death throws things in disarray and forces me to go out on my own to find the assasain. I would go to the elves for information and gladly accept any help they offer.

The thread should begin tomorrow as planned.

Sorry for not beginning on time, but my life is really hectic right now, as this weekend is homecoming here at my college. I'll try to have it up this weeked so that you won't have to read a halfway thread. I'm pouring a lot of care into the making of this story, and I don't want to let it go to waste by posting a rushed draft.

Okay, so I was thinking that I would focuse on one of the three storylines at a time, and would like some input from you guys as to which story you would like to read first. As of now, they include Lith, Isildur, and Shadowcaster's story, Wicked Tim and Gorman's story (soon to split), and Dunco's story. Any feedback on this matter would be much welcome.
