Man, I've been here for months - as a moderator even - and I haven't gotten any pictures of naked girls yet. 
Anyway, I come here because it's nice to communicate with people who have some similar interests. In real life, I don't meet many people who have anything in common with me.
As for stars - I never cared much about them in my pre-mod days - and I don't care enough about them to give out red ones either. At least I haven't done it yet, but I saw one post I would have given one to if someone didn't beat me to it.
Anyway, I hope you all don't really care about stars that much. I mean, if you die tomorrow, nobody will care how many stars you had, but if you posted something that made someone smile or see things differently when they were having a bad day, you can at least be glad you made a difference in someone's life.

Reviving an old thread...
I found this thread way back in the last few pages of the tavern...I thought i'd revive it, since it seems a really good question to ask right now. The general opinion is that HC is slowly spiraling down, due to constant loss of quality. Lately, there, most of the posts have been flamming, spamming, etc...Many of the old members are gone, with but a few who stayed. Some of them maybe have good reasons in RL not to come anymore, or maybe they are just tired of seeing what this place is coming to. I hope they will decide to come back, they are missed by the older members...
So, take the poll, think about why you are here, and if you find out you don't have a reason to stay....Well, no one is keeping you.
Now, as for my reasons...I found this place looking for info on HMMIV, and joined. I found a very friendly place, many interesting threads, and, most important, i became really good friends with some of the members. And later, i found my wife here too, but that's another story... So, i stayed...And this place has become like my house on the net. My brower's homepage is set here, and i visit daily, at least 1 hr. That is the reason, why i take this degradation "personal", as someone told me...Now don't get me wrong, i'm not saying i'm the best poster around and that everyone else is just a moron, far from it. I watched this forum go down, and haven't done almost anything about it...I promise i will change that from now on. I hope i'm starting with the revival of this thread.
Well, these are my reasons...now what are yours?

Erm.... I don't really know... Oh yes I do! I come here usually before I run off to play Heroes at Zone. I usually find that I can sink myself into talk mode, it relaxes and unwinds me before I dive into the panic rooms of Zone and the clicking/typing/replying/LOLLING/ stuff! Oh yes, isn't that what I do here anyways? Yes it is, but here, everything is much slower. It's like taking slow, deep breaths and concentrating before you dive into the 100m pool and try to swim to the other end without breathing...

Originally to find out about the release date for HOMM4 in Australia and to read up on peoples opinions after playing it.
