To lose a friend
I guess the day did not start well from the start. It's sad that I lost one of my closest friends today who meant a lot to me. Mistakes were made, hints were given, I might have misunderstood intentions but I guess I always knew with what kind of person I was dealing with.
Maybe some people just can't get along. A shame that it has to be over something trivial after all those years, feels a poor ending to something I thought was more. A mix of different understanding and a failure to compromise, there you have it.
Regrets? I guess I should have done my best to prevent this or tried to improve myself for both our sakes even if the fault was not entirely my own. But in the end I don't know, how long would the illusion continue? Does not matter anymore, people choose their own paths.
Farewell my friend. I hope you will one day realize that I was there for you even if you never asked for it.

It's always hard loosing the connection with someone who you were close to. I experienced the same a couple of years ago, my best and closest friend for some 5 years (it was a girl I met through my studies) - somehow, our lives just started developing in separate directions, and neither of us were really aware of it, and in the end, things got sort of ugly, and I more or less cut the connection. It was very painful, and even though she has appologized since, and we've sort of made up, it just doesn't become the same as it used to - there seems always to be that doubt, will it run off track again, and is it worth being disappointed once again. However, also since then, I've moved to a completely different place in my life, and indirectly, the break with her made me meat some very new dear friends. I guess that's how life is.

Thanks to everyone but I have calmly accepted that. The situation sounds pretty similar with yours Alc, she was drifting away for some time now but I did not expect such a cold ending. Life moves on and so will I.

nah not really... i have only one philosophy about friends. blood is thicker than water. friends come and go even best friends. but your family will always be there. i've learned to let relationships like these go knowing it would be better for us to not be friends.

For my little years as a humane being i Have learned meny stuff.
Yes Blood is thicker then water,thats why you can choke on blood abd bit ib water. Meny time have my frindes supported me where my femily would not. To this day i trust my frindes with issues i dont with my perents.
I also know how it is to lose afrinde.
Yeah you will miss him but look differntly at it.
Every change is for the best
You can cry over spilt milk as much as you want,but go buying a new one will fix things.
Regrats are only a aprt of life.You are older then me so i guess you know this yourself.
The fact you made a topic out of this indicates how much affected you ware by the insident.losing a frinde is never okay. I didnt understand if the frinde and you just had a big fight or he went to a better place,whatever happend,the memmory of the good times you two spent together remaines in your heart,forever.

No buying anew one won't fix it. You ar friends with someone and then they go their own way, you don't replace that relationship. It does not work that way. You spend time, energy, and love to build something and somehow things talispin and you lose someone who at one time held your heart and love on a pedestal. It blows and there is no other way to say it.

Nah she's alive and kickin' I won't get into it but suffice to say it was one of those cases where both people have not been at their best but I never understood things were so serious until the last moment. Does not matter, for better or worse what's done is done now. I just felt I had to write that.
I don't think that's what she wanted to say anti..
