you're modifying creature gamemechanics files? right?
(data.pak/GameMechanics/Creature/Creatures/*.*)
as you are supposed know: each of these files have a <CreatureTown> <CreatureTier>, <BaseCreature> and a <Upgrades> tag.
If the creatures are not neutral ( <CreatureTown> != "TOWN_NO_TYPE" ) (then are faction creatures)
then there must have only a creature that has <BaseCreature> = CREATURE_UNKNOWN for each same <CreatureTier>
ex: peasant basecreature = unknown / peasant's upgrades basecreature = peasant
for resume, never we can change the <BaseCreature> tag, (I talk about Faction Creatures)
then, for a particular tier, the base creature the creature having unknown as basecreature is able to have only one upgrade, two upgrades or 0 upgrade dependly how we fix its upgrades.
just to fix that as you want. 1 upgrade, 2 upgrades or 0.
you will open these 2 others creatures to change too their upgrades. upgraded creatures can have upgrades too
you can remove all upgrades by writing <Upgrades/>
so, the unliked upgrade will not have upgrade itself and the liked upgrade will not able to become the unliked upgrade.

my tests are made with TotE 3.1
you can show your code....you can give a link for your mod, your map etc.

tried it, it crashed, corrected what I thought was the problem, but was lazy to try again. I don't even play H5, so...
anyway, as long as I can't be bothered to work on it, there is really no problem with giving the possibility to other people, is there?
and actually, maybe it works now though, my experience in computer science tells me the contrary. it never works at 1st try, nor at the 2nd, nor at the 3rd... lol

I find it less interesting caused by the fact the 4th upgrades use same visual than 3rd.
yes there is a lot of deep tests to make.
you know I use RTMG for testing. but the present RTMG public version is not compatible with the MOD because during the import it protects <CreatureTown> for the 3rd upgrades. So it automatically breaks the upgrades and all links about faction, they become simply neutral creatures. Of course I'm able to scan the mod with my RTMG home-version and so see all bugs detected while the import. but anyway full others bugs can exist too during the game. RTMG cannot see that.
you want the 4th upgrades. then you should continue your work a little bit yet..., there are not script_id, no name and desc texts...etc. I can provide you a map for game tests.
or why not to take better awesome Zenithale's abilities from 4th upgrades and put them to 3rd upgrades.....
Of course I'm aware too that 56 creaturevisuals is a huge job.

indeed you can forget it. anyway they can be autocreate later with their monstershared file. that was only if you wanted to have particular id for them.
at visual level, you could create at least their own name. just to be able to differentiate them of 3rd upgrades on the game.

they have their own names. just didn't think about posting the download link. it's not like it's the most crucial. also I think I didn't post the code that allow them to spawn on the adventure map, but if I forgot nothing, that should work.

I didn't put the creatures in a map yet.
I have to adjust RTMG import before.
you know, the 56 creatures will form a "square of creatures" sorted by faction/tier in this map.

and I'm deeply sorry but I don't want to give time to check the MOD.
you do what you want...
but I'm really not interested to make efforts with creatures having visual copies.
I know that is a big job to make. but the job I have to make now is too big too to do for the cause.
I can make a contribution if the creatures would have new visuals
but otherwise it isn't worth the trouble I do something.
The only thing I'm ready to do is providing you a map containing the "square of creatures".

anyway, it crashes when I try to upgrade something it seems. but I don't know why. tried to upgrade a golem to obsidian golem.
the new units use same visuals and animations as the old ones, but they are different creatures normally.

drh3ll, you made Kirin, you had taken a slot without reserved it anyway...
btw, there are not a lot of NCF modders...
only Psatkha must know which slots you take to avoid he takes them.
