Hey mate, after a quick look at the map in the editor, I see that Fortress/Stronghold only get lvl3 spells max, while the other towns have full lvl 5 mage guilds. This might cause unbalance.

I know that, but Stronghold and Fortress are very strong. They have Tazar and Crag Hack, probably, the best heroes in the whole game. And, about implosion, with huge armies, is more powerfull a mass haste/slow/curse/bless  .

No matter what you do it will be imbalanced. And it doesn't really matter whatsoever, as long as people are having fun.

I get yer point, mate, but i would hate to see an Inferno with Exp Berserk. That would be just awful.
I might have a solution for this. Ban all 4th and 5th lvl spells OR ban them and set a small number for each castle in the form of an event, just when they get out of the monolith. You can discuss with your fellow players which spells to allow and which not to allow.
But hey, I ain't playing online, so that's up to you. (And fun is fun when odds are even).

Tacticians Corner
...this type of Sub-Tournament was called "Tacticians Corner" initiated by two great russian players (one was phantom1500), implemented in the Tournament of Honor League.
If you want a balanced Map try to find the tacticians corner map. Even better the Tacticians Corner II map, used at the Drachenwald Tournament.
The current map is not really well designed and balanced and wont lead into good fights.

Yes, it can be an idea, but I can ban some spells etc.
Like:
Expertberserk
Implosion if you are: Inferno, Necropolia, Dungeon
And spells that are alredy baned in the map:
DD
Fly
TP
Water Walk

As mentioned above the tournament is for fun and luckiest wins,so just ban some 4,5th spells and lets play.Then next time u can make other map and so on...
