I'd never use violence, at most I'd pacify someone, if I had no way to avoid them.
In the early years, before I became the victim/target, I was a bully myself, though that was in kindergarden, so for something like 2 years, I guess. Also there was the occasional loss of control due to emotions, which continued to I was about 12, or 13, I think, heck maybe even later than that.
The funny thing is that I developed compassion for those who were bullied by others. I showed them techniques of fighting I had learned from experience in kindergarden and in general, I thought I helped these people to avoid being bullied. This was the period after I had been a bully towards some of the same persons, and before I became a victim/target for these persons. That is, eventhough I was still stronger than most of them to begin with, around age of 9, I think, I had made a decision of never being violent, unless I really absolutely had to. So to begin with, it was just the typical calling of names. To begin with, being called names did feel hurtful, but I learned they were just words and I didn't really care for it, those peoples opinion didn't really matter. The bad thing was that it evolved into a physical beaten pretty often and as I didn't eat much, the others did get a lot stronger and heavier, so I had no longer the option of stopping people and tell them to leave me alone.
The tricks I normally used to stop people, getting them into a position, where their limps could not reach me, and where I could hold around them, so they could not turn around, turned into an disadvantage for me, as they in general had got so much bigger, that they could lift me up from the ground without putting much strength into it, or could come out of disadventagous positions, simply due to being a lot stronger. If I had not stopped eaten, i.e. didn't become extremely lazy after school, who knows, I could probably have kept it down to name calling, not that I handled the name calling that well either. True there was no reaction to the outside world, but inside, it was hard to understand that the emotions triggered did not have to equal to what is me.

Exactly, there's no hard feelings from my part. In general, I think it's pointless to punish people for things in the past, if they do not display that kind of behaviour anymore. What should be on focus is how the victim can be helped, not how the offender can be hurt.

@Ohforf, well, as much as I hate bullies, you have to remember, without them, you might not have been the person you are today, I think that for us to learn how to pity and feel bad for people, we have to feel bad ourselves.
Me at the last day of school with a few friends, I'm the tallest guy. I look kinda weird on this pic, but what the hell.

In the way other might percieve me, you're probably right. In the way I percieve myself however there'd be no difference.

That might be true, I can't really say though. However one can, without having negative consequences in their life still learn to have the best in interest for others only through positive consequences. That is, feelings aren't necessary for empathy, but maybe for feeling bad for other people, though that's not the same thing. All it requires are that realising what one wants, realising everyone have wants and realising the blatantly obvious that you don't want the opposite of you want, but what you want and extrapolate it to everyone, to their unique wants.

Haven't had time to get a decent picture of my very short hair ... and it'll be a good bit longer once I get home from USA. Will probably take heaps of nice ones over there though!

Not in the Vatican. Btw. how tall are you city of cars?
Hmm, for some reason, girls around the age of 14-15 often dress pretty well, have beautiful hair and are somewhat good developed, later on they become a bit uglier, though some becomes prettier with age. The big turn off is their mental capabilities, most often, that's why I'm targetting Elvin, he's cool.
