Sony NGP
I'm really surprised none of you have made a thread on this yet or even mentioned it in one of your incoherent ramblings you call posts.
The Sony NGP (Next Generation Portable) is set to be the successor of the PSP. Sony first released information on it January of this year. As of right now they are looking at a November - December 2011 North American release and sometime between February and March of 2012 for the UK. I haven't heard about any other release dates so I have no idea when it's up for sale in Japan.
As for the changes from the PSP, I gotta say, it looks like it could give the 3DS a run for it's money.
This beautiful beast has:
•Dual Analog Sticks (More like the PS2 and PS3 controllers)
•Front and Rear Cameras
•An OLED (Organic Light Emitting Display) Touchscreen
•Multi-touch rear pad (not sure what that's about)
•GP-FRICKEN-S (cuz you know, why the hell not)
•What they call SIXAXIS Motion sensors so you can move the machine and affect the game or something
•A built in electronic compass
•Built in microphone and Stereo Speakers
•Wi-Fi capability
•An uplink to SkyNet
•Oh, and it's pretty too 
I guess two versions are going to be released. The normsl NGP which will run approximately $250 - $280 and a 3G Model (I don't know why they don't make it 4G since the tech is available now) which will sell for approximately $320 - $350
Most of the games that will be initially released are still in development however I did spot a nice Call of Duty game with graphics that rival the PS3.
Right now, I really want this thing. I'll have to wait 'til I come back to the states but hopefully by then the price will have lowered some.

I'm rather excited about it, I was thinking about getting a PSP myself to play old PSX games on it but since this baby is coming out, I think I'll wait.
Of course my wet dream would be to have it emulate PS2 games so I could play Final Fantasy 10 on a handheld... but this is most likely just wishful thinking. -_-
Of course the price is pretty meh.

Hmm...
Yeah I'm excited cuz the vanilla PSP will become cheap and I might even consider buying one to play some Blazblue Portable or something.

- Nah, in that case I think I'll pass...
But seriously, as impressive as it sounds, I don't think it would be good for my well being if I was able to play awesome games at all time.
