I play vs AI a lot and I need to check this ARMG map setup that you are mentioning. Most competitive setup (strong AI play) that I found was 8p stairway. Although in very late game AI was not so strong...

In MMH5.5 ARMG maps, a lot depends on the settings. So try to make the best settings that match your desired game-play/experience. Based on your longer game preference, I think you should try ( 8p ) the Ultima templates. With appropriate difficulty settings.

What I like best about your balancing is that it is backed up by math. It is clear that Nival did not even do a basic check on quantifying unit usefulness. But we are talking about a company who gave +1 combat speed to a minor artifact..

How much did you increase skirmisher's crippling ability? Its original trigger chance was pretty low and now I see it was at 0.7.

Pao kai retaliation does not divide damage between the adjacent targets in retaliations which is one more advantage over foul wyverns. Is there a solution for that? Also why frenzy immunity on the fouls? Closest substitute to blind immunity?

I'm not sure purge will help sky daughters much? I mean they are melee with 4 speed and they are mostly meant to sacrifice and cast.

You said that jousting was adjusted to match attack. Does that mean that attack stats now increase damage by 3.33%? If so where does defense stand?

Venom now is at 6 damage then? Actually, a full balance changelist would be nice. I remember seeing some changes on facebook and some here, I have probably missed some things. It is hard to keep track of changes across versions.

You mention +5 dmg in melee for titans. How does that work?

What factor is bear roar now? Was paw strike changed too?

And when you say armoured moved to whitebear, does blackbear no longer have it or do both have it?

EDIT:

On an unrelated note, someone told me he'd seen a mod that shows atb values for each unit in the atb bar. Did a search with no success, maybe you have seen it? I do not know the author or even if it was a part of a bigger UI mod.

Also regarding an older change you mentioned, where did tou edit divine vengeance damage from? F is mentioned in the formula but I wouldn't know where to find it.

Crippling Wound

Paokai, hitting more targets doesn't mean more damage, just spreaded over more targets, scavenger is best feature, frenzy is just to equalize with blind. (it would be boring to give the same ability)

Purge isn't supposed to help much since difference was very small.

Exactly, defense is the same, KB:Legend uses same parameter, prevents excessive pace of battle (importance of first turn) and shooter dominance. Also allows larger stat increases with artifacts without overpowering and makes S+K more equal A+D. In Heroes 5 & 3 A is heavily overpowered.

Titan upgrades are tactically almost identical in TOE, in H55 they are very different, Titans are melee tank with weak call lightning shot while storm titans remain the same.

yes, moved really means moved.

I have never seen the ATB mod.

Vengeance is edited same as all other spells. Maybe dreadknight still has the link to the excel tables?

On pao kai I meant that while attacking with lightning breath divides the damage, retaliating with it does not. It does full damage to all and if memory serves that was a bug introduced with 3.1. I could be mistaken but I doubt that was intentional.

Love what you have done with the text descriptions, very informative. Where do you change skill/unit ability/spell texts?

I understand now, thought both titans were ranged.

I have checked the divine vengeance files and I don't find anything related to the frags. If I didn't know, I'd assume it only has a fixed damage plus a spellpower modifier.

Ouch, i didn't know that, however if it was really introduced in 3.1 it may not be in the MMH5.5 exe files. Otherwise it will not be fixable, a possible solution could be to replace it with a pattern attack or exchange it for the prismatic breath ability or the thunder thane attack.

Ok I tested it, in H5.5 the paokai attacks only one unit in retaliation, so it is OK.

most text are in Text/Game/..self explanatory folder names..

I think I downloaded treant mod from HC

I read that as well under Difficulty setting but I couldn't find that option before but I see it now  I always did the minor artifact as usual so didn't see those other options.

On a different note I tried out the 64 bit exe just to see what would happen and surprisingly enough it fixes the loading issue I had where it would crash trying to load a save from within the game.  I only have 32 bit Windows 10 and 2g of ram.  

I did get a low on memory warning popup once and I noticed it does take up alot more ram but it doesn't crash anymore so far.

It's ok dredknight, I compared the values mentioned in the article and those of the game and found what to change. I had gotten the impression I would also have to deal with frags but apparently not

So I'm curious what value did you assign to crippling shot, bear roar and paw strike.

Also, what change did you make to pao lightning breath? Having it only hit one unit in retaliation sounds more balanced.

One last thing. I don't suppose you know anything about making summons appear faster or in a targeted location?

Criple 1.5 from 0.7, that explains the probability numbers from the screenshot

Admitedly I don't understand exactly how those proc numbers work. The fan manual says the chance for those kind of abilities is 25% +- 3% of the hp modifier. Where does the proc numbers fit into it?

I know, no word on proc chances though. My guess is that they are a modifier of the universal formula.

Btw when I asked for a full changelist I did not mean from the latest update but a complilation of the changes so far. If you have one it would be handy.

What I would want to know - how to make the Hive cast his swarm instantly without its annoying animation. Takes far too much time

I was wondering if anyone gets a you need to be a member warning on moddb. I believe these warnings are random, because this is not true (if you persist).

If you click on mirror and click a server you can download anyway.
