Oh, please, you'd say you like her with a punk haircut not to admit you made a wrong statement. Anyway, the thing is, 80's is the era that is mocked the most in terms of appearance when it comes to 20th century and with good reason. When they make a period piece for the cinema that takes place in the 20's or the 60's, the esthetics of the age impresses you, have you ever seen that done with the 80's in that manner? But I dont want the thread to start with an endless debate, so if you got something retro you like, put it in, the 80's are welcome, too.

This is a 3 octaves spinet, basically you can't play anything written past 1650 on it. Is like asking a 100 m runner to run 3 meters.

Yeah, I noticed it had 3 octaves and was expecting this reply. The piece I picked was a reference to the flags on it.

This is my favorite era too, when it comes to automobiles. Back in the '90's, my dad bought a 40's Jaguar from a French guy only for something around 6000 dollars. The engine wasnt original of course but it looked so cool. He sold it after a while once the magic wore off, said it was hell to drive in the summer without an air conditioner.

They sure don't make them like they used to.
The interwar era, with it's art deco style produced some of the most aesthetically pleasing cars to date.
The old Hispano-Suizas, Bugattis, Duesenbergs and such are what executive and VIP is trully all about.
Shame to see some of those old brands didn't survive the competition, although Rolls Royce designers did came up with a "modern" look on one of their concepts.
although the rear is utter crap ant completely ruins the look

Well, I'll be damned.
Diana Rigg – aka Lady Olenna Tyrell from Game of Thrones (1967).
This also makes me realize, she's a Bond girl, (On Her Majesty's Secret Service), the only Bond girl in the series that marries him and dies in the end.
I re-watched the movie about a year ago and didn't recognize her.

artu said: Once again, thta is not a characteristically 80's style hair. It could have been taken in any decade.
Is this a hair style contest then? Nothing else that makes 80's unique?

Just an example but one of the most known and obvious examples. The music is also less iconic and left less impact in retrospect compared to the two decades before it, architecture or cinema are certainly not in a golden age. Take a common opinion on cars among car enthusiasists or house decoration...
