an asylem to be feared

Level 1

Imp-flying mana steal

troglodyte-immune to blind

Level 2

Scarecrow-i got this from the necrop thread i just thought it best for the asylem but takes extra damage from fire base attacks

demon gargoyle-flying stoneskin

Level 3

Magog-same as homm3

cerberus-same as hommm3
       or
Nightmare-same as homm4

Level 4

Minotaur-same as homm4 but stronger

Beholder-flying spellcaster shooter 24 shots

Level 5

Effrent-same as homm4

medusa-same as homm4

Level 6

Devil-looks return from homm3 teleport summon demon gargoyles 150% to angels and fallen angels

Black Dragon- fire breath flying immune to all spells 150%to Gold Dragons


so what do you think any changes and help with my level 3 creature choice

Some changes in mind.. From your list, and new from mine.
I believe:

*level 1
Imps could use mass fear. *The more imps, the greater chance of instilling fear on attacking/defending stack for that action*

*level 1
Demon gargoyles They normaly have stone skin. Howvere, in defence their defence is trippled. Animation for gargoyles in defence, should statue like art form and apparently stone (color & texture change)

*level 2
Scarecrow These should recive extra damagae from fires based attacks, but they should have immunities from mind/life.
These should also have a fear skill. All level 1s should retreat (as attackless berserkers) for 2 rounds (or until the end of the next turn) after attacked by the scarecrow. The level 1s, can attack them, but fear witholds 50% damage, and they retreat for 2 rounds after scarecrow retaliates.

{hmm, I now see why you asked for change to level 3s. lol}
*Level 3~
Bring back Pit lords
Keep them similar to Homm3, but adjust stats. These should be "tanks" with ability to return (resurect from hell) all evil based alignments as demons.
Actualy, it's the soul- pit lords are returning. Dont let the physical change confuse you.

~*Extra level 2*~
Demons These should not be in town dwellings, but in map dwellings yes. They have no special ability, except extra morale effect.
Demons were once living beings. No matter the alignment, the beings were sent to hell for being evil (primarily not from good alignments) This is why pit lords return the evil souls from hell as demons
Extra morale effect.-not affecting nature, or might more than normal.
Evil routes them on, and good dislikes them.

*back to level 3
Cereberus
Make them are less *dobermine* looking. Their appearance was better in Homm3!
Theres a ton more to these guys!!

I disagree about making them stronger! Their defence skill alone almost gives too much as level 3s, and they are not level 4 material.

celfious did you read the necrop ideas
the scarecrow should only do extra damage to birds
and as for fear it should only go to the higher level creatures

Actualy, even my idea of the scare crow would be non realistic (in the fantasy way).
Every bird in the game, is much smarter than the crows who think they are human farmers on guard.

What is frightning about scarecrows to birds with small mental capacity?
They think it's a human and will chase them away.

This says they shouldn't be chaos aligned.
If all these creatures will fight a black dragon, they will not fear a scarecrow =/

And the minotours.. Perhaps they have a lower attack skill, but their defence specialty is enough in itself to change out comes in battles.

Dude with the long list (i, kb, w, whtvr)
Each games different. If you posses some special ability.. I suggest you focus on a unique game, and not how you think Homm would be better.
A sequal, will usualy be similar enough for players to identify the series.
With what your lists, and thoughts would make is an evil WOG type of game..

i think they should be stronger in attack and less in defence a tad your right about each game being deffrent.

pit lords back raise fallen stack as demon gargoyle
magog same as homm3 beholder flyer spellcaster defrent looks. like in buffy. people with no eyes or eyes taken out.

Nightmare in one class with the beholder? The nightmare weeker than a medusa? And what is that demon gargoyle? The gargoyles ARE demons putted on the buildings...

of course the nightmare is weaker the screwed up making it stronger than minotaur thought id fix it.

How about this idea for an Asylum?

Level 1
Imp and Orc

Imps have magic leech and fly, while orcs throw axes with no melee penalty.

Level 2
Gargoyle and Cerebus

Gargoyles have Stone Skin and 50% magic resistance + fly, while Cerebri have no enemy retaliation and tri-attack

Level 3
Pit Lord or Ice Demon

Pit Lords have First Strike and Ice Demon Raise, while Ice Demons have freezing ability

Level 4
Venom Spawn or Efreet

Efreet have fire shield and fire attack while Venom spawn shoot poison

Level 5
Devil or Frenzied Gnasher

Devils gain no enemy retaliation in addition to the other H4 bonuses while Frenzied Gnashers have two attacks, magic immunity and berserk.

I think that the Asylum should keep only Asylum creatures NOT NECROPOLIS ones! I have edited my own town of Asylum. This time each creature could be upgraded to two styles of upgrades.

level 1

Trogoldyte
1: Infernal Trogoldyte
2: Frog Trogoldyte

level 2

Minotaur
1: War Minotaur
2: Minotaur Mage

level 3

Rulla (bedwian mithic creature
1: Banshi
2: Medusa

level 4

Basilisk Snake

Hydra
1: Cobra Hydra
2: Basilisk Hydra

level 6

Swamp Dragon
1: Rust Dragon
2: Black dragon

3:Basilisk - Ranged weapon, (spell <Stone Glaze lvl 3>, egg brooter (helps producing more black dragons)
2:Rulla - spell caster <Fire bolt lvl 2> <Slow lvl 1> <Chaos shield>
2:Gargoyle - flayr, anti-magic
2emon - Fire bolt shooter, increases imb groth
2:Evil eye - flayr, ranged weapon
1:Trogoldyte - every fifty give you one sulfur
1:Harpy - flayr, attaks and comes back to place before anyone attaks back
1:Thiefe - double attaker, steels and gives to your town income.
1:Imp - flayr, mana steeler
1rc - Axe througher, shoots back at spell casters that curse him.
